FST

Description

The FST (follistatin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

FST can refer to the human gene Follistatin or the protein it encodes.

Follistatin (FST) binds directly to activin, acting as an antagonist. It specifically inhibits the production and release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) from the pituitary gland.

FST is also known as FS.
