FRMPD4

Description

The FRMPD4 (FERM and PDZ domain containing 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.

FRMPD4 is a protein encoded by the FRMPD4 gene in humans. It contains multiple domains, including WW, PDZ, and FERM. FRMPD4 acts as a positive regulator of dendritic spine morphogenesis and density through its interaction with other proteins, such as PSD-95. It is also required for the maintenance of excitatory synaptic transmission.

FRMPD4 is a positive regulator of dendritic spine morphogenesis and density. It is also essential for maintaining excitatory synaptic transmission. FRMPD4 binds to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate.

FRMPD4 is also known as MRX104, PDZD10, PDZK10, XLID104.
