FRMD5

Description

The FRMD5 (FERM domain containing 5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

FRMD5 is thought to play a role in regulating cell migration, possibly by interacting with ITGB5, a cell surface receptor, and modifying its interactions with other proteins. FRMD5's interactions with ITGB5 may also influence cell-matrix interactions. Additionally, FRMD5 might regulate ROCK1 kinase activity, which is involved in the formation of actin stress fibers.

FRMD5 is also known as NEDEMA.
