FOXQ1

Description

The FOXQ1 (forkhead box Q1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

FOXQ1 is a protein encoded by the FOXQ1 gene in humans. It belongs to the FOX gene family, known for their conserved 110-amino acid DNA-binding motif called the forkhead or winged helix domain. FOX genes participate in various biological processes including embryonic development, cell cycle regulation, tissue-specific gene expression, cell signaling, and tumorigenesis.

FOXQ1 plays a crucial role in the differentiation of hair follicles.

FOXQ1 is also known as HFH1.
