Description

The FOXF2 (forkhead box F2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

FOXF2 is a protein encoded by the FOXF2 gene in humans. The FOXF2 gene is located on the short arm of chromosome 6 at position 24. FOXF2 belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors, characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. FOXF2 plays a role in regulating several pulmonary genes and is expressed in the lungs and placenta.

FOXF2 is also known as FKHL6, FREAC-2, FREAC2.
