Flotillin-1 is a protein encoded by the FLOT1 gene in humans. It is an integral membrane protein associated with caveolae, small domains on the inner cell membrane involved in vesicular trafficking and signal transduction. The specific function of flotillin-1 remains undetermined. It has been shown to interact with SORBS1.
