FILIP1

Description

The FILIP1 (filamin A interacting protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

FILIP1, or Filamin-A-interacting protein 1, is a protein produced from the FILIP1 gene in humans. It interacts with Filamin.

FILIP1 regulates the initiation of neocortical cell migration from the ventricular zone by interacting with the filamin-A/F-actin pathway. It may also trigger the breakdown of filamin-A.

FILIP1 is also known as FILIP, NMDF.
