FIBCD1

Description

The FIBCD1 (fibrinogen C domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

FIBCD1 is a receptor that binds to acetylated structures, such as chitin, certain N-acetylated carbohydrates, and amino acids, with high affinity and calcium dependence. It does not bind to their non-acetylated counterparts. FIBCD1 can facilitate the endocytosis of acetylated components.
