FERD3L

Description

The FERD3L (Fer3 like bHLH transcription factor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

FERD3L is a transcription factor that binds to the E-box and acts as an inhibitor of transcription. It requires dimerization with an E protein to bind DNA. FERD3L prevents the activation of transcription by ASCL1/MASH1 by binding to E proteins.

FERD3L is also known as N-TWIST, NATO3, NTWIST, PTFB, bHLHa31.
