FCGR1A

Description

The FCGR1A (Fc gamma receptor Ia) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

High affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc receptor I is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FCGR1A gene. It binds the Fc portion of IgG and causes activation of the host cell via an intercellular ITAM motif.

High affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulins gamma. Plays a role in both innate and adaptive immune responses. Facilitates IgG effector functions on monocytes, triggering antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of virus-infected cells.

FCGR1A is also known as CD64, CD64A, FCG1, FCGR1, FCRI, FcgammaRI, IGFR1.
