FBXL22

Description

The FBXL22 (F-box and leucine rich repeat protein 22) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

FBXL22 acts as a substrate-recognition component within the SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. This role allows it to promote the ubiquitination of specific sarcomeric proteins, namely alpha-actinin-2 (ACTN2) and filamin-C (FLNC).

FBXL22 is also known as Fbl22.
