FBXL12

Description

The FBXL12 (F-box and leucine rich repeat protein 12) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

FBXL12 acts as a substrate-recognition component within the SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. Its role is to facilitate the polyubiquitination and subsequent degradation of CAMK1 by the proteasome. This process disrupts the assembly of the cyclin D1/CDK4 complex, ultimately leading to G1 cell cycle arrest in lung epithelial cells.

FBXL12 is also known as Fbl12.
