FAIM
Description
The FAIM (Fas apoptotic inhibitory molecule) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.
FAIM1 (Fas apoptotic inhibitory molecule 1) acts as an inducible molecule that helps B cells resist programmed cell death (apoptosis) triggered by the Fas receptor. This resistance is triggered when surface immunoglobulins on B cells are activated.
FAIM is also known as FAIM1.
