EPB41L4B

Description

The EPB41L4B (erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.1 like 4B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

EPB41L4B increases the activity of ARHGEF18, a Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor. This protein is involved in regulating the circumferential actomyosin belt in epithelial cells. EPB41L4B promotes cell adhesion, migration and motility in vitro, potentially contributing to wound healing. It may also play a role in cytoskeletal changes during steroid-induced cell differentiation.

EPB41L4B is also known as CG1, EHM2, LULU2.
