Description
The EPB41L1 (erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.1 like 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.
EPB41L1 encodes a protein similar to Erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.1 (EPB41), but with neuronal functions. It stabilizes D2 and D3 dopamine receptors at the neuronal plasma membrane. This protein is enriched in neurons and exists in multiple isoforms. It interacts with CENTG1, Dopamine receptor D2, Dopamine receptor D3, ITPR1, and Nuclear mitotic apparatus protein 1.
EPB41L1 is also known as 4.1N, MRD11.
