ENTPD3
Description
The ENTPD3 (ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.
Ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 3 is an enzyme encoded by the ENTPD3 gene in humans. It is similar to E-type nucleotidases (NTPases), which mediate the breakdown of extracellular nucleotides. ENTPD3 contains four apyrase-conserved regions, a characteristic feature of NTPases.
ENTPD3 exhibits a threefold preference for hydrolyzing ATP compared to ADP.
ENTPD3 is also known as CD39L3, HB6, NTPDase-3.
