EID2B

Description

The EID2B (EP300 interacting inhibitor of differentiation 2B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

EID2B functions as a repressor, inhibiting the transcription of genes regulated by the MYOD transcription factor and the glucocorticoid receptor. This suppression ultimately leads to the inhibition of muscle differentiation.

EID2B is also known as EID-2B, EID-3.
