DUS3L

Description

The DUS3L (dihydrouridine synthase 3 like) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

DUS3L, also known as tRNA-dihydrouridine synthase 3-like, catalyzes the synthesis of dihydrouridine, a modified base, in various RNAs including tRNAs, mRNAs, and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs). It primarily modifies the uridine in position 47 (U47) within the D-loop of most cytoplasmic tRNAs. Additionally, DUS3L can mediate dihydrouridine formation in specific mRNAs, potentially regulating their translation.

DUS3L is also known as DUS3.
