DSN1

Description

The DSN1 (DSN1 component of MIS12 kinetochore complex) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

DSN1, also known as DSN1 or MIS13, is a protein encoded by the DSN1 gene in humans. It is a component of the kinetochore-associated multiprotein complex, alongside MIS12, DC8, PMF1, CBX5, and ZWINT. This complex is crucial for proper chromosome alignment during the metaphase stage of cell division. DSN1 has been shown to interact with NSL1 and MIS12.

DSN1 is also known as C20orf172, KNL3, MIS13, dJ469A13.2, hKNL-3.
