DRGX

Description

The DRGX (dorsal root ganglia homeobox) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

DRGX is a transcription factor essential for the proper development of pain signaling pathways. It ensures nociceptive sensory neurons project correctly to the spinal cord's dorsal horn, enabling normal pain perception.

DRGX is also known as DRG11, PRRXL1.
