DPPA2

Description

The DPPA2 (developmental pluripotency associated 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

Developmental pluripotency-associated protein 2 is a protein encoded by the DPPA2 gene in humans.

DPPA2 binds to specific gene promoters, including NKX2-5 and SYCE1, but not GATA4. This binding is believed to play a role in maintaining the active epigenetic state of these genes.

DPPA2 is also known as CT100, ECAT15-2, PESCRG1.
