DNTTIP2

Description

The DNTTIP2 (deoxynucleotidyltransferase terminal interacting protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

Deoxynucleotidyltransferase terminal-interacting protein 2 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DNTTIP2 gene. DNTTIP2 has been shown to interact with Estrogen receptor alpha.

DNTTIP2 regulates the transcriptional activity of DNTT and ESR1. It may also function as a chromatin remodeling protein. DNTTIP2 is a component of the small subunit (SSU) processome, the initial precursor of the small eukaryotic ribosomal subunit. During SSU processome assembly in the nucleolus, various ribosome biogenesis factors, an RNA chaperone, and ribosomal proteins associate with the nascent pre-rRNA, facilitating RNA folding, modifications, rearrangements, cleavage, and targeted degradation of pre-ribosomal RNA by the RNA exosome.

DNTTIP2 is also known as ERBP, FCF2, HSU15552, LPTS-RP2, TdIF2.
