The DHX32 (DEAH-box helicase 32 (putative)) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.
DHX32 is a human gene that encodes a putative pre-mRNA-splicing factor ATP-dependent RNA helicase. DHX32 belongs to the DEAD box protein family, which are characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD) and are involved in various cellular processes related to RNA secondary structure alterations, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, ribosome and spliceosome assembly. The specific function of DHX32 remains undetermined. Alternative splicing of the DHX32 gene produces two transcript variants, but the full-length nature of one variant has not been fully defined.
