DGCR5

Description

The DGCR5 (DiGeorge syndrome critical region gene 5) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 22.

DGCR5, also known as DiGeorge syndrome critical region gene 5 (non-protein coding), is a long non-coding RNA. It is located on human chromosome 22q11, within the ADU breakpoint associated with DiGeorge syndrome. Its expression is regulated by the REST (RE1-Silencing Transcription factor) transcription factor.

DGCR5 is a long non-coding RNA involved in the regulation of gene expression. Its expression is controlled by the REST transcription factor. It is located on chromosome 22q11, within a region associated with DiGeorge syndrome, and its disruption may contribute to the development of this disorder.

DGCR5 is also known as DGCR10, DGCR9, DGS-A, DGS-B, LINC00037, NCRNA00037, POM121L5P, RIP.
