DGAT2L6

Description

The DGAT2L6 (diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2 like 6) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.

DGAT2L6 is a diglyceride acyltransferase that uses fatty acyl-CoA as a substrate, particularly active with oleate as a substrate. It does not have wax synthase activity to produce wax esters. It can also utilize 1-monoalkylglycerol (1-MAkG) as an acyl acceptor to synthesize monoalkyl-monoacylglycerol (MAMAG).

DGAT2L6 is also known as DC3.
