DEPDC1

Description

The DEPDC1 (DEP domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

DEPDC1 is a protein in humans encoded by the DEPDC1 gene.

DEPDC1 may act as a transcriptional corepressor, influencing gene expression. Notably, the DEPDC1A-ZNF224 complex appears to be significantly involved in bladder cancer development. This complex suppresses the transcription of the A20 gene, leading to NF-KB protein translocation into the nucleus and ultimately inhibiting apoptosis in bladder cancer cells.

DEPDC1 is also known as DEP.8, DEPDC1-V2, DEPDC1A, SDP35.
