The DENND2C (DENN domain containing 2C) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

DENND2C, or DENN/MADD domain containing 2C, is a protein encoded by the DENND2C gene located on human chromosome 1. Its gene spans 87200 nucleotides and contains 21 exons. DENND2C is a member of the DENN protein family, which regulate the activity of Rab GTPases by acting as Rab-specific guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs). DENND2C also plays a key role in the self-renewal of human embryonic stem cells. Its mRNA is 6177 bases long and has three isoforms. The longest protein isoform is 928 amino acids long and has a predicted weight of 106.9 kDa.

DENND2C acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that activates the Rab GTPases RAB9A and RAB9B. It promotes the exchange of GDP for GTP, converting inactive GDP-bound Rab proteins into their active GTP-bound form.
