DENND1C

Description

The DENND1C (DENN domain containing 1C) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

DENND1C acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that can activate the RAB8A, RAB13, and RAB35 proteins. Its role is to facilitate the exchange of GDP for GTP, converting inactive, GDP-bound Rab proteins into their active, GTP-bound counterparts.

DENND1C is also known as FAM31C.
