DDAH1

Description

The DDAH1 (dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

DDAH1 plays a crucial role in regulating nitric oxide (NO) production by breaking down ADMA and MMA, both of which inhibit nitric oxide synthase (NOS).

DDAH1 is also known as DDAH, DDAH-1, DDAHI, HEL-S-16.
