Description

The DCANP1 (dendritic cell associated nuclear protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

DCANP1 binds to and activates the promoter region of the corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) gene, which is involved in stress response and regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis.

DCANP1 is also known as C5orf20, DCNP1.
