The CTSW (cathepsin W) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

The Flight Design CT series is a family of light aircraft designed and produced by Flight Design in Germany. This family includes the original CT model, the CT2K, CTSW, CTLS, and the MC models. The first CT model was flown in March 1996, with production starting the following year in Ukraine. Since its introduction, various versions of the CT series have been released, and by 2005, approximately 400 aircraft were in use worldwide. To meet increasing demand, Flight Design opened a new manufacturing facility in China in 2015. The CT series development began in the mid-1990s, shortly after Flight Design was founded in 1993. Prior to the CT series, Flight Design specialized in light aircraft, such as hang gliders and powered microlights. The original CT model was designed for the ultralight-microlight (UL-ML) market and certified by the EASA, allowing it to be sold across Europe. Although headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, Flight Design decided to establish the CT's production line in Ukraine. In 1997, the same year production of the CT series began, Flight Design chose to discontinue manufacturing its other product lines, focusing all its resources on the newly launched aircraft.

CTSW is also known as LYPN.
