Description
C-stage 5 is the advanced stage of chronic kidney disease (CKD), characterized by a severe decline in kidney function. At this stage, the kidneys are unable to filter waste products adequately, leading to a buildup of toxins in the bloodstream. Without treatment, CKD can progress to end-stage renal disease (ESRD), requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant.
