CST7

Description

The CST7 (cystatin F) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

CST7 can refer to: Cystatin-F, also known as Cystatin-7, Cystatin-like metastasis-associated protein, or Leukocystatin.

CST7 inhibits the activity of papain and cathepsin L, but with lower affinity compared to other cystatins. It is believed to contribute to immune regulation by specifically targeting and inhibiting a distinct protein in the hematopoietic system.

CST7 is also known as CMAP.
