Chronic Suppurative Tonsillitis (CST)
Description
Chronic suppurative tonsillitis (CST) is a chronic inflammatory condition of the tonsils, the small masses of tissue located at the back of the throat. CST is characterized by recurrent episodes of sore throat, tonsil swelling, and the presence of white or yellow pus-filled pockets (crypts) on the tonsils.

CST can be associated with various other conditions, including:
- Recurrent otitis media (middle ear infection)
- Sinusitis (inflammation of the sinuses)
- Bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchial tubes)
- Pneumonia (infection of the lungs)
