CSRP1

Description

The CSRP1 (cysteine and glycine rich protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

CSRP1, encoding cysteine and glycine-rich protein 1, is a member of the CSRP gene family, which produces LIM domain proteins involved in developmental and cellular differentiation regulation. The LIM/double zinc-finger motif in CSRP1 is shared by proteins crucial for gene regulation, cell growth, and somatic differentiation. Other family members include CSRP2 and CSRP3.

May contribute to neuronal development.

CSRP1 is also known as CRP, CRP1, CSRP, CYRP, D1S181E, HEL-141, HEL-S-286.
