CRNKL1

Description

The CRNKL1 (crooked neck pre-mRNA splicing factor 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

CRNKL1 is involved in the pre-mRNA splicing process, specifically in the splicing of U12-type introns in pre-mRNAs. It is a component of the minor spliceosome, which is responsible for splicing these U12-type introns. This function is supported by multiple studies (PubMed:11991638, PubMed:12084575, PubMed:28076346, PubMed:28502770, PubMed:33509932).

CRNKL1 is also known as CLF, CRN, Clf1, HCRN, MSTP021, SYF3.
