CRLF2
Description
The CRLF2 (cytokine receptor like factor 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X|Y.
CRLF2, also known as TSLP receptor, TSLP-R, is a protein encoded by the CRLF2 gene in humans. It forms a complex with TSLP and IL7R, activating STAT3, STAT5, and JAK2 pathways to stimulate cell proliferation. CRLF2 plays a role in hematopoietic development. Rearrangements of CRLF2 with IGH or P2RY8 are linked to B-progenitor- and Down syndrome- acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Cytokine receptors share structural features and usually form heterodimers for high-affinity binding and signal transduction.
CRLF2 acts as a receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), forming a complex with TSLP and IL7R. This complex stimulates cell proliferation by activating STAT3 and STAT5 signaling pathways, and also activates JAK2. CRLF2 plays a role in the development of the hematopoietic system.
CRLF2 is also known as CRL2, CRLF2Y, TSLPR.
