CRIP2

Description

The CRIP2 (cysteine rich protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

CRIP2, encoded by the CRIP2 gene, is a cysteine-rich protein with two LIM domains. It is closely related to CRIP1. Both are highly expressed during cardiovascular development and act as bridges between serum response factor and GATA proteins to stimulate smooth muscle target genes.

CRIP2 is also known as CRIP, CRP2, ESP1.
