CRIP1

Description

The CRIP1 (cysteine rich protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

Cysteine-rich protein 1 is a protein encoded by the CRIP1 gene in humans. It belongs to the LIM/double zinc finger protein family, which includes other members like cysteine- and glycine-rich protein-1 (CSRP1), rhombotin-1 (RBTN1), rhombotin-2 (RBTN2), and rhombotin-3 (RBTN3). CRIP may be involved in intestinal zinc transport, suggesting a potential role in zinc absorption.

CRIP1 is also known as CRHP, CRIP, CRP-1, CRP1.
