CPXM1

Description

The CPXM1 (carboxypeptidase X, M14 family member 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

CPXM1 is a gene that encodes the enzyme probable carboxypeptidase X1 in humans. This enzyme belongs to the M14 family of zinc carboxypeptidases, but it lacks any detectable carboxypeptidase activity. The protein is likely located outside of cells and/or embedded in cell membranes and may play a role in cell-cell communication.

CPXM1 is also known as CPX1, CPXM.
