CPNE7

Description

The CPNE7 (copine 7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

Copine 7 is a protein encoded by the CPNE7 gene in humans. It belongs to the copine family, characterized by calcium-dependent membrane-binding proteins. The protein contains two N-terminal C2 domains and one von Willebrand factor A domain. It is believed to be involved in membrane trafficking. Two alternative spliced transcript variants have been identified for this gene, encoding different isoforms.
