CORO2A

Description

The CORO2A (coronin 2A) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

The CORO2A gene encodes a protein belonging to the WD repeat protein family. These repeats are involved in various cellular processes like cell cycle control, signaling, apoptosis, and gene regulation. CORO2A contains 5 WD repeats and shares structural similarity with actin-binding proteins, suggesting its role in regulating cell movement. Alternative splicing generates two transcript variants of this gene.

CORO2A is also known as CLIPINB, IR10, WDR2.
