COMMD5

Description

The COMMD5 (COMM domain containing 5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.

COMMD5 may modulate the activity of cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligase (CRL) complexes. It negatively regulates cell proliferation and the G2/M phase transition of the cell cycle, likely by activating p21/CDKN1A through a p53/TP53-independent signaling pathway. COMMD5 is involved in kidney proximal tubule morphogenesis and downregulates the activation of NF-kappa-B.

COMMD5 is also known as HCARG, HT002.
