COIL

Description

The COIL (coilin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

COIL, or COIL, can refer to the human gene COIL, which encodes the protein coilin.

COIL is a component of nuclear coiled bodies, also known as Cajal bodies or CBs. These bodies play a crucial role in the modification and assembly of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs) within the nucleus.

COIL is also known as CLN80, p80-coilin.
