CNIH3

Description

The CNIH3 (cornichon family AMPA receptor auxiliary protein 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

CNIH3 regulates the movement and function of AMPA-type glutamate receptors (AMPARs). It helps direct AMPARs to the cell membrane and synapses, and it fine-tunes their activity by controlling how quickly they turn on, off, and become unresponsive.

CNIH3 is also known as CNIH-3.
