CLIP3

Description

The CLIP3 (CAP-Gly domain containing linker protein 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

CLIP3 functions as a cytoplasmic linker protein involved in the movement of materials between the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and endosomes. It may also help regulate the location of AKT kinases within the cell, moving them to the cell membrane where they can aid in glucose transport in fat cells.

CLIP3 is also known as CLIPR-59, CLIPR59, RSNL1.
