CLDN25

Description

The CLDN25 (claudin 25) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

CLDN25 plays a critical role in the formation of tight junctions, structures that seal the spaces between cells and prevent the leakage of fluids and molecules. It does this by directly adhering to other cells, independently of calcium ions, effectively blocking the intercellular space.
