CLDN24

Description

The CLDN24 (claudin 24) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

CLDN24 is involved in the formation of tight junctions, which are specialized cell-cell junctions that seal the spaces between cells. It does this by eliminating the space between cells in a calcium-independent manner.

CLDN24 is also known as CLDN21.
