The CIC (capicua transcriptional repressor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

CIC is a gene that refers to various organizations across different countries, including Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Kenya, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It is an abbreviation for names such as Cadet Instructors Cadre, Canadian Infantry Corps, Chemical Institute of Canada, China Investment Corporation, Construction Industry Council, and more.

CIC (Capicua homolog) is a transcriptional repressor that plays a critical role in the development of the central nervous system (CNS). It works together with ATXN1 and ATXN1L to regulate brain development.

CIC is also known as MRD45.
