CHPF2

Description

The CHPF2 (chondroitin polymerizing factor 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

CHPF2 transfers glucuronic acid (GlcUA) from UDP-GlcUA to N-acetylgalactosamine residues on the non-reducing end of the elongating chondroitin polymer. It lacks N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase activity.

CHPF2 is also known as CSGLCA-T, CSGlcAT, ChSy-3, chPF-2.
